Honey Shop in London now open

13 December 2007  |  Admin

Now open in London, our new Honey Shop.

The New Zealand Honey Shop now has its first physical store open in South London. Located at 95 Replingham Road, Southfields, London, UK, SW18 5LU.

Stocking all of the products that are available through our online store, plus a few more that are impractical for online ordering due to their weight or other difficulties in posting out.

You now have an actual store that you can visit to see the products if you prefer (if you are in London). The aim is that the physical store and online store will be able to compliment each other to offer you the best of New Zealand honey products, with a focus on manuka honey, and propolis products.

Among the extra products available in the physical store are a range of the Wild Appetite sauces (chocolate sauces, savoury sauces and dressings). They make it easy to turn your meals from simple, to extraordinary. Not offered online due to being in glass bottles that can't be trusted through the postal service unfortunately.

An easy 2 minute walk from Southfields station on the district line, come in and take a look around if you are in London. Of course the online store continues to enable you to get information and place orders 24 hours a day.

Can eating the rainbow support healthy cognition?

In this blog, Clinical Neuroscientist Miguel Toribio-Mateas discusses the benefits of a diet full of colour for healthy cognition and different brain processes; from memory to reaction time.

Cognition refers to a range of processes relating to the acquisition, storage, manipulation, and retrieval of information by the human brain. It underpins nearly all of our daily activities, in health and disease, across the age span.

Cognition can be separated into multiple distinct functions, dependent on particular areas of the brain or “brain circuits” that work based on a number of natural chemicals known as neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are created by the body using building blocks that come from nutrients, hence the importance of being aware of what foods can act as sources of the necessary active components of the molecules that drive our brain processes.
