Green Honey Outbreak In UK

7 August 2008  |  Admin

Green Honey Outbreak Invades London & UK.

The UK has been found to be experiencing an outbreak of Green Honey. And this does mean green in colour.

Company officials at the source of the outbreak admit to doing nothing to stop its spread, and furthermore are encouraging health officials to take action to promote and expand this outbreak!

Locals are advised the best way to be prepared is to ensure they have a good supply of bread.

For what we are talking about is the release of the new Kiwifruit & Honey spread at The New Zealand Honey Shop in London.

Kiwifruit Honey contains two of New Zealand’s most famous and delicious products, for use as a healthy and scrumptious spread on bread or toast. For a unique taste of New Zealand – clover honey and kiwifruit are combined.

There is a definite novelty factor in terms of how this honey looks. Kids – big and small – can enjoy showing off the shock factor of the unusual green colour, yet be smug that it still tastes great.

Kiwifruit are rich in Vitamin C, containing twice the levels found in oranges.

The new Kiwifruit & Honey is produced by Comvita, New Zealand’s major producer of the UMF® Manuka Honey made famous for its natural healing properties. The New Zealand Honey Shop also stocks the full range of Manuka Honeys.

Keeping with the Kiwifruit theme, there is also a newly released vitamin C  supplement based on Green and Gold Kiwifruit - Kiwi-C . Vitamin C supports the body's natural immune responses and is commonly used to help recover from winter ills and to assist in wound healing. Concentrated ZESPRI(tm) GOLD and green kiwifruit is mixed with a natural vegetable glycerine base for a great tasting product. You won't need to trick the children into taking Kiwi-C as they will enjoy the Kiwifruit taste.

Can eating the rainbow support healthy cognition?

In this blog, Clinical Neuroscientist Miguel Toribio-Mateas discusses the benefits of a diet full of colour for healthy cognition and different brain processes; from memory to reaction time.

Cognition refers to a range of processes relating to the acquisition, storage, manipulation, and retrieval of information by the human brain. It underpins nearly all of our daily activities, in health and disease, across the age span.

Cognition can be separated into multiple distinct functions, dependent on particular areas of the brain or “brain circuits” that work based on a number of natural chemicals known as neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are created by the body using building blocks that come from nutrients, hence the importance of being aware of what foods can act as sources of the necessary active components of the molecules that drive our brain processes.
